The Office of Surveyor-General Victoria released a new version of the Victorian Cadastral Surveys Practice Directives, July 2021. One of the significant changes relates to the connection of cadastral surveys to the national coordinate datum, Map Grid of Australia 2020 (MGA2020)....

Who says Licensed Surveyors just measure land.   We recently had the task of measuring the height of a Giant Gnome.  Using our laser instruments, we were able to measure the height to within 1mm and officially certify its height for approval with the Guinness World Records.  We also measured its shoe size which came in at US283!  The Giant Gnome will be on show in the Frankston area where it will remain until it goes to the McClelland Sculpture Park....

Land Dimensions recently completed a Feature & Level Survey of a section of Victoria’s coastline around the 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge in Port Campbell.  Our surveyors spent 3 weeks on site taking over 14,000 measurements over an area of approximately 122 hectares.  They witnessed some stunning scenery including this classic shot of one of our GPS rovers with the 12 Apostles back drop.   A survey they will never forget!...

Initial survey work has commenced on the exciting new Pace development alongside Flemington Racecourse.  Our surveyors were in full swing surveying the site and surrounding area including taking some accurate levels over the race track.  A fantastic day for our surveyors especially for those who love the races!...
